The technical department considered the mountainous and sloped roads in the Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan regions, where the braking system can easily overheat and fail during downhill driving, leading to suboptimal braking performance. Therefore, they proposed a special plan to install a retarder.

Recently, Yashang New Energy Company successfully trial-produced the first prototype of the retarder.
After the New Year, the company received an order from a customer in Guang'an, Sichuan, who will launch a batch of largeVANvehicles for the local passenger transport market. The technical department considered that the mountainous and hilly roads in the Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan regions often lead to overheating and failure of the braking system when the vehicle descends, resulting in suboptimal braking performance. Therefore, a special plan to install a retarder was proposed. The retarder, as an auxiliary braking device, can effectively help vehicles maintain a stable speed in mountainous and hilly areas while reducing the load on the vehicle's brakes.
This project is the first time Yashang New Energy Company has trial-installed a retarder on a largeVANvehicle. The company attaches great importance to this, and the Automotive Research Institute quickly established a retarder project team to collaborate with various departments to promote the trial production of the retarder prototype. The trial production process encountered many technical challenges, but the technical staff faced them head-on, actively thought through solutions, and overcame difficulties. After multiple tests and plan optimizations, the installation of the retarder on the prototype was completed in early3the month and successfully passed the tests.
